Busted at Bathtime...

What's worse, having the Tia discover that you had covered yourself head to toe in pink marker, or having to wait while she gets her camera????

Boys Night In!

So a few weekends ago, I had a first time experience, an ALL boys night!! And we did not let this opportunity go to waste:

The night started with a bonfire in the backyard.

Everything we could find that was made of wood was burnt, though we tried burning more things then just wood....

We spent HOURS doing this...

and this...

Not sure what that thing was, but it burnt really well!

Activity #2, build a fort downstairs using the dining room tables and ALL the blankets!

We then watched a movie while in the tent, however, we got a little sleepy and had to finish in the morning:

On top of the table still not finished:

It was a great night that I loved spending with my boys!
After a few calculations, I realized today that in exactly 14 days I'll be on a plane heading for Miami.
I have no idea how I'm going to leave these 12 kids that have become my life over the past 9 months.

Please pray for me over the next two weeks as I prepare myself to come home (which I really AM excited for!) and as I take care of all my last minute plans and everything!

Thanks!

Kaley

Welcome to House 2! This week, we welcomed two new members to the House 2 CDA Family!
We're very happy to have Big sister "A" (7years) and little brother "E" (5years) with us. Please pray for them over the next few weeks as they adjust to life in the house with their 12 new siblings!  And pray for us (the Tias) as we figure out how to make our already chaotic house work to fit these two little ones!
A , already showing off her attitude : )

Adorable E jumping right in with the rest of us!

Thanks DPCS!!!

So this post is WAY WAY WAY WAY to long in coming, but here it is, a post to say:
THANKS DEVON PARK GRAD CLASS!

This large group of 12th graders from dear old DPCS were here a while back on their grad trip and were kind enough to spend a day here at Casa de Amor, House 2.

I was very impressed with their willingness to serve and jump in with some pretty messy jobs!

The job for the day was painting, in just a few hours they painted almost the entire interior of the house~ Here's the baby of house 2 with one of the walls before the new paint job.....

Volunteers Elena and Pauline hard at work!

Mrs. Fox heading up the awesome project they brought for our girls to make, TuTu's!!

The DPCS team also showed up on the day we rescued two puppies!

Of course there were some soccer games played!

Pauline with the 'after' shot of the stairwell.
As well as the hard work, they also brought with them a wealth of supplies, future birthday presents, shoes, vitamins, etc etc etc, here they are pre-sorted....

......and sorted!!!!
Also they were amazing enough to bring me some surprise treats!
