Socks!

Next time you can't find matches to a few odd socks, think of how I spent my afternoon!

Kaley

Prayer Requests:

1) I seem to have developed a very slight, yet very annoying illness of some kind, so please pray that I'll kick that quickly!
2) There are some riots and blockades going on in the city right which is making it nearly impossible to go anywhere and school has been canceled all week. Please pray for safety for all of us and for the kids as we wait for this to be over with!

On the Town

Last week I had the chance to spend some quality time with these two lovely young ladies.
We started the day of with blue lollipops. Hence the tongue pictures!

Then went to a fun restaurant with a kids room!

She's so cute!

We had juice...

                                                                           and "look Tia!" Ice!!!!!

It was a great day!

Sunday Morning's Are the Best!

I am the official "Tia" on shift Saturday night through Sunday morning. With this comes the job of making breakfast for the kids. (Currently 14 of them) Of course, I couldn't do this without a little help!
This Sunday, we had fresh Banana-Orange Juice with Morning Glory Bread.

The girls had fun taking turns squeezing the oranges!
So fun!

Good Morning Cochabamba!

Well it's that time again. Time to get up at 5am everyday and head to school for fun and learning. Here are some of the excited faces we had here at the house on the first day!
Still asleep? Yes.

I wonder who's teeth actually got cleaned well that morning!

"What's happening Tia???"

"Ok, I'm getting up now, can't wait to start my first day of Kindergarten"

"No, I was wrong, Kindergarten can definitely wait."
We're now a week in and they're all doing really well! We have 3 2nd graders, 2 first graders, 4 kindergarteners, and 4 pre-kindergarteners.

Of all 14 of our House 2 kids, only this munchkin didn't quite make it to school age. But she doesn't hate having the Tias to herself!

Babies!

So I realized that I post a lot about our older kids but I don't think I've EVER posted about the Babies! So here they are, the babies of Casa de Amor!
One of my favorites, check out the hair! Working on 7 months!
Our cutest! 4 months.
Our Chubbiest!!! 6 months.
And our new little girl, 2 months.

I have to say, I'm jealous of Pauline and her baby holding capacity. My legs are too short to do that!!!

I promise to post more often!

Thanks for reading!

I Love House 2!

I love living at House 2! The kids are so great, you can't help falling in love with them!
Although sometimes, they can't make it through a whole meal!

And sometimes they have a little to much fun in time-out!

Not sure what she was doing with the broom, but it looks like something fun!

Outside time is the best!

I'd also be annoyed if the Tia was taking pictures instead of pushing me on the swing!

So Cute!

It's a good thing he's got those glasses, otherwise he may have trouble watching the movie!

I'm so sick of the stupid wolf movie!
 Good Times!

Kaley!

Prayer Requests:

1) The next week is going to bring:
           A) Two new little boys to our (already very full) house.
           B) The loss of our big backyard, (and best part of our house)
Please pray that we'll be able to incorporate our new boys as best as possible into our lives here and that some kind of solution would present itself for our house troubles!

Thanks!

Dilemma...

So I'm facing a bit of a dilemma. I loved being home for Christmas, and I love being back in Cochabamba, but it's SOOOOO much work getting between the two places!

But basically, I wanted to let everyone know that I arrived! Safe and sound! With (shockingly) ALL of my luggage! It was a long couple of days but here I am!

It's so nice to be back with the kids! Due to a few different reasons atleast for the first little while of my time back, I'm living right in House 2 (as opposed to with a host family) and I'm already enjoying this new experience! It's fun being right in the thick of things, and I'm able to spend a lot more time with the kids this way!

Elena, the resident volunteer, beloved Tia, and director of House 2 got me all set up here and I love it already!

My room! Thanks Tia Elena!
Not the greatest picture, but this was a Christmas card that was waiting for me when I got back, made by one of my most favorite 5 year-olds ever! I just wanted to share that!

Thank you so much for praying for my safety during travel, I could not have had such a smooth trip without all of that prayer! Thanks!

Prayer Requests:

  1. Now that I'm back I've got some annoying VISA things do deal with. Please pray that (with help) I'll be able to figure out the best route to take!
THANKS!

Here I go again...

And I'm on my way! Thus begins my two day 5 airport journey back to Cochabamba. It's been a wonderful Christmas visit, but I'm ready to get back! I miss a whole brood of wonderful kids!

I am extremely glad to have been able to work out my flight to coincide with Danny's flight to New York. So even of it's only for this first short San Diego leg of my trip it's nice to have a traveling companion!

Well I'll write more about my trip when I make it to Miami!

Please pray for a safe trip for myself and and Danny, Mom and Dad who are ALL flying today! Thanks!

Spending some quality time...

One of my favorite times is between Naptime and Dinner at House 2. The kids are just free during that time to play!
The other day, thanks to Tia Pauline and her camera, we had some laughs : )

These kids are insane....
I think I died of all the excitement!

And of course, I do love getting my hair done!

I can't wait to get home next week! See you all on Sunday!
